Regulatory information

As a legal practice regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, mpm legal LLP ("MPM") is subject to certain rules and regulations. In particular, under Rule 9 of the Solicitors' Code of Conduct 2007 ("the Code") MPM is obliged to provide information prior to a referral being made from this website to MPM. That information is:

(i) SEQ Legal LLP ("SEQ") and MPM share the costs and profits associated with the running of this website equally, although such costs and profits are not linked or connected in any way to referrals that MPM may receive from the website. Such arrangement may constitute a financial arrangement for the purposes of Rule 9.02(e)(i) of the Code;

(ii) MPM does not make payment to SEQ (whether monetary or other consideration) for any referral from this website which is calculated by reference to that referral;

(iii) any advice given by MPM to clients or prospective clients referred to it from this website will be independent;

(iv) as a client or prospective client of MPM, and in accordance with the Code, you will be free to raise questions on all aspects of the relationship between SEQ and MPM as to referrals from this website; and

(v) any information disclosed to MPM by you will not be disclosed to SEQ without your prior consent.

Should you wish to instruct MPM to provide bespoke legal services to your business, you will become a client of MPM. In such circumstances MPM will provide you with standard terms of engagement and will set out in writing matters such as details of the task to be performed, the issues to be considered, and an estimate of likely legal fees that will be incurred in performing the task in question. Any legal fees that your business may pay to MPM for bespoke legal services will not be due or payable by MPM to SEQ.
